New York State
A coalition of labor, communtiy, and faith organizations are urging the New York state legislature and Governor Cuomo to raise the state's minimum wage to at least $9.00 per hour and to index the minimum wage to rise each year with the cost of living.
Poll: A January 2013 Quinnipiac University poll reported that 80 percent of voters in New York support raising the state's minimum wage.
